It’s really nice to de-thatch and sweep up all the debris at the same time. I then went at 90 degrees to the first pass. Reseeded next and then fertilizer. The whole process was about 2 hours for 9000 square feet. Did the back yard a couple days later, 15000 square feet, about a little over 3 1/2 hours.I had a pull behind de-thatcher for about 10 or so years, my neighbor asked if he could borrow, it, I told him to just keep it. This type works so much better, and you can raise it for transport, and remove it completely in a couple minutes Somebody put some thought into this tool, when they designed it. I use the sweeper every couple weeks in the summer, it only takes a few minutes to connect to my lawn tractor and the yard looks neater because of it.

First problem should have two, wheel went into low spot, de-thatcher went under sweeper, second problem, conduit clamps are not strong enough. However for the short time I did use it, it work good. I will get it back on and be more careful next time. It is a good product.

It was a fantastic idea to combine a de-thatcher with the sweeper. This saves time and money by doing the work in half as many passes. However, this attachment was poorly designed when it comes to the 44″ Agri-Fab sweeper. The attachment brackets are stout but needlessly bulky and the sides are slightly crooked; this does not affect the performance but does detract from the overall opinion. The mounting method of the de-thatcher to the brackets looks like it was rushed and thrown together with available parts. The wheel also hit the tow arm of the 44″ sweeper when in the transport position; this forced me to offset my tow arm to one side. Certainly glad I bougth this, works well and is a great addition to a sweeper. I just wish that it was designed to the same standards as the rest of the Agri-Fab products I’ve seen and owned. I will likely construct my own replacement mounting brackets to get rid of the bulky ones.

I gave a 3 star rating for a couple reasons. First I think it should have a second row like the stand alone unit (if possible) in the design and second thing is the tines on either end are bending up constantly. Not sure why because I didnt take the time to watch behind me to determine the cause since it was about to rain. They are not going to last long if they keep bending and I keep bending them back to correct position. Other than those two concerns I am happy with it. I might add that I do have the 2 row stand alone de-thatcher as well but eliminated the need for an extra pass across the 1 acre yard with the sweeper by adding the bolt on de-thatcher to it.

I called to get these parts, when they came the bearing flange and three bolts came in a few days, however the bolts were the same as I already had. They were 1/2. 13 x 3 5/16. bolts are measured by the shank length not overall length. I had to buy the correct bolts to finish assembly. I would recommend you get this problem resolved to avoid future customer issues.

It didn’t like the stepper grades much as it would get under the sweeper but once I figured a better travel path it worked great. I have surface roots and it handled them without a problem. My only criticism is the assembly instructions were a little dicy. However once I found my “section” assembly was straight forward and simple for even the unskilled assembler.
