Chainsaw Man: 8 Devils We Can’t Wait To See Animated
These are easily the most exciting Devils fans can’t wait to see animated in Chainsaw Man.
The Chainsaw Man cast seems to constantly be expanding with no end in sight as the series progresses. Along the way, skirt-chasing protagonist Denji encounters a few new faces; and among the crowd are some friendly allies but many more vicious enemies.
While many of Denji’s Public Safety Devil Hunters buddies that are human have contracts with devils to keep themselves safe, there are obviously a handful of devils the cast encounters as well. However, many of these devils are introduced much later in the series and haven’t had their chance to debut in full motion just yet. Here are some of the most anticipated devils to be seen in the Chainsaw Man animated series.

Disclaimer: Major spoilers ahead!
Bucky
Bucky may be a simple side character, but he definitely left a lasting impression on fans in the short time he had to shine. Bucky is one of the few devils in the series that isn’t a terrifying threat; in fact, he’s one of the few friendly devils out there!
Bucky is the (rather weak) Chicken Devil and serves as Asa’s classroom pet. Despite having no head, Bucky is rather talkative and easily befriends everyone in Asa’s class. Seeing this quirky chicken in full animation will definitely be a well-deserved break from all the darker moments in the series. Aside from his animation, fans can look forward to his voice acting as well! Who knows if little Bucky will have a deep, intimidating voice or a high-pitched goofy one?
Hell Devil
The Hell Devil appears in two arcs later in the Chainsaw Man manga. The Hell Devil physically manifests in a few different ways; including a centaur-like creature covered in flames and a giant six-fingered hand descending from the sky.
At the moment, the Hell Devil has formed a contract with both Santa Claus and the Anti-Makima Squad. The Hell Devil was first summoned by Santa Claus after sacrificing a doll and three children, and then dragged Denji and his squad to hell. Although the Hell Devil disappears for a while, it has another appearance when Kishibe set off to stop Makima’s rampage. However, Denji (in his full Devil Form) interrupts and ruins their plan.
Gun Devil
The notorious Gun Devil is often talked about and only really seen in small glimpses. Even within the first attack ever shown, the Gun Devil himself is nowhere to be seen, and instead, only the debris of his rampage remains left behind. The Gun Devil can operate as a sentient entity even when only a mere twenty percent of its flesh is present.

During the tragic attack that happened in November in the series, the Gun Devil was in its full devil form (one hundred percent) but wasn’t fully shown, leaving readers curious about the devil’s full form. However, the devil at only twenty percent resembles a gruesome monster with firearms emerging from its limbs, back, and head, its rib cage open, revealing disembodied heads, as well as long belts of ammo in place of legs.
War Devil (Yoru)
At the moment, the “true” form of Yoru, the War Devil herself and one of the Four Horsemen, isn’t known as in the manga, she currently appears as a girl with a very similar appearance to her human host, Asa Mitaka. When the audience first encounters Yoru, she is weakened, taking the form of a bird-like creature. While Yoru finds herself regaining a bit of strength after taking over Asa’s body, she still needs to create more weapons in order to fulfill her desire of going to war with the revered Chainsaw Man.
Yoru’s one true strength is creating weapons out of things (or beings) that belong to her. Seeing how Yoru is animated and how she will interact with poor Asa will be quite the treat. Will Asa and Yoru have the same voice actress or separate ones? How will the studio choose to show that Yoru only appears to Asa and no other outsiders? Fans will have to wait and see.

Famine Devil (Fami)
Fami, despite her cute appearance, is one of the most dangerous devils in the Chainsaw Man world. Fami is the Famine Devil and introduces herself as Yoru’s big sister as she is also one of the deadly Four Horsemen. Currently, Fami has only made small appearances but here mere introduction was enough to get fans riled up.
Fami poses as a student alongside Asa and is a member of the school’s Devil Hunter Club. It seems as if Fami is a “fan” of the Chainsaw Man as she wears earrings that resemble Denji’s rip cord. At the moment Fami has shown she has the power to trap beings inside a specific location/building and can even revive a heavily injured Yuko after being brought close to death. However, the true lengths of Fami’s devil abilities are unknown.
Nayuta
It’s said that devils that are killed are sent to hell where they can then have the chance to return to earth in a different body. Little Nayuta may seem harmless at first, but she is in fact the reincarnation of the feared Control Devil (a.k.a. Miss Makima). In order to prevent history from repeating itself, Kishibe has tasked Denji with taking care of Nayuta, filling the role of a loving older brother.
Nayuta is described by Denji as a bit of a problem child, yet incredibly bright and even has a good chance of getting into a good university one day. While Nayuta is the Control Devil, the audience is yet to see the full extent of her devil abilities (and how she decides to use them!).
Power (Devil Form)
Much later in the series, Power finally shows off her full devil form as the Blood Devil. In Power’s fight with Makima, Power unleashes her true form and reveals sharp horns, sharp teeth, an exposed chest cavity, and multiple darkened limbs while still maintaining a fairly humanoid form.
Power’s Blood Devil form has many intricacies that aren’t fully shown off during her reveal and fight with Makima that would no doubt look amazing in full color and motion. As for the time being, the few frames of Power’s Blood Devil form are all fans have until the animated series finally catches up.
Denji (Devil Form)
At one point, Denji surpasses his hybrid form and finally unleashes his full Chainsaw Devil form. Denji in his form loses all his humanity and allows the true Chainsaw Devil (Pochita) to take over. This version of Denji is terrifying; he is much larger, grows multiple limbs, and has exposed intestines that he wears as a scarf.
Although Denji doesn’t retain his humanity or consciousness he still manages to (aggressively) fulfill his dream of going on the perfect arcade date with a girl in the middle of his violent his rampage. Who knew Pochita could be so bloodthirsty?
Bonus: Aki (Fiend Form)
While not a full-on devil, Aki’s fiend form after being possessed by the notorious Gun Devil is something that some fans may be eager to see, while others dread the day it gets fully animated. Aki’s transformation isn’t a high-octane exciting one like Denji’s and is instead a rather heartbreaking scene to witness.

Perhaps some fans may still love Aki in this form and have a sense of morbid curiosity that brings them to wonder what their favorite top knot devil hunter would look like in motion after being taken over by the monster he hated the most.
