Эти шипы просто потрясающие!! Отличное качество и простота установки. Больше никаких скольжения на поворотах, никакого рытья ям, лучшее обновление, которое я купил для моего Landroid! Кроме того, еще раз большое спасибо за то, что помогли мне найти правильный размер. У меня есть «маленькая» американская модель (WR165), которая, по-видимому, нуждается в «большой» версии шипов, и они идеально подходят! (Может быть, немного слишком идеально с одной стороны, потому что я не попал в мертвую точку, когда я прикрутил их, поэтому они немного прижимаются к пластиковой крышке слева. Что на самом деле ничто и со временем решится само собой, но я подумал упомянуть об этом для полной прозрачности). Сказочный продукт, который я могу очень рекомендовать.

Those spikes are just amazing!! Great quality and easy to install. No more slipping on turns, no digging holes, best upgrade I bought for my Landroid! Also, thank you so much again for helping me to find the right size. I own a ‘small’ US model (WR165), which apparently needs the ‘large’ version of the spikes and they do fit perfectly! (Maybe a little too perfect on one side, because I didn’t hit the dead center when I screwed them on, so they are running a bit against the plastic cover on the left. Which is nothing really and will solve itself over time, but I thought to mention it for full transparency). Fabulous product, which I can highly recommend.

Added the spikes to WR155 and Romeo took off. We have a slope that he had a difficult time maneuvering and since he has had his spikes on he is working much better. Glad I finally found them. The spikes arrived with the packaging a bit bedraggled. The spikes were poking though the packaging on all 4 sides.

Steel spikes arrived over the weekend. Installed on my Worx L2000 and fit perfectly. There was a small piece of plastic corner I had to cut slightly as it was rubbing. Much more grip now and very happy. The screws had a star head and I didn’t have a small enough size so had to use an allen key to get them installed. Overall extremely happy.

I. Allgemeine Geschäftsbedingungen

§ 1 Grundlegende Bestimmungen

(1) Die nachstehenden Geschäftsbedingungen gelten für alle Verträge, die Sie mit uns als Anbieter (NF-Brothers UG haftungsbeschränkt; vertreten durch Nemo Fink Nicco Fink) über die Internetplattform eBay schließen. Soweit nicht anders vereinbart, wird der Einbeziehung gegebenenfalls von Ihnen verwendeter eigener Bedingungen widersprochen.

(2) Verbraucher im Sinne der nachstehenden Regelungen ist jede natürliche Person, die ein Rechtsgeschäft zu Zwecken abschließt, die überwiegend weder ihrer gewerblichen noch ihrer selbständigen beruflichen Tätigkeit zugerechnet werden kann. Unternehmer sind jede natürliche oder juristische Person oder eine rechtsfähige Personengesellschaft, die bei Abschluss eines Rechtsgeschäfts in Ausübung ihrer selbständigen beruflichen oder gewerblichen Tätigkeit handelt.

§ 2 Zustandekommen des Vertrages

(1) Gegenstand des Vertrages ist der Verkauf von Waren.

(2) Wird ein Artikel von uns bei eBay eingestellt, liegt in der Freischaltung der Angebotsseite bei eBay das verbindliche Angebot zum Abschluss eines Kaufvertrages zu den in der Artikelseite enthaltenen Bedingungen.

(3) Für das Zustandekommen des Vertrages gelten die eBay-AGB, insbesondere § 6, ein entsprechender Link befindet sich auf jeder eBay-Seite unten. Je nach Angebotsformat ist dort der Vertragsschluss wie folgt geregelt:

§ 6 Angebotsformate und Vertragsschluss

(. ) 2. Stellt ein Verkäufer mittels der eBay-Dienste einen Artikel im Auktions- oder Festpreisformat ein, so gibt er ein verbindliches Angebot zum Abschluss eines Vertrags über diesen Artikel ab. Dabei bestimmt er einen Start- bzw. Festpreis und eine Frist, binnen derer das Angebot angenommen werden kann (Angebotsdauer). Legt der Verkäufer beim Auktionsformat einen Mindestpreis fest, so steht das Angebot unter der aufschiebenden Bedingung, dass der Mindestpreis erreicht wird.

Der Verkäufer kann Angebote im Auktionsformat zusätzlich mit einer Sofort-Kaufen-Funktion versehen. Diese kann von einem Käufer ausgeübt werden, solange noch kein Gebot auf den Artikel abgegeben oder ein Mindestpreis noch nicht erreicht wurde. eBay behält sich vor, diese Funktion in der Zukunft zu ändern. (. )

Bei Festpreisartikeln nimmt der Käufer das Angebot an, indem er den Button Sofort-Kaufen anklickt und anschließend bestätigt. Bei Festpreisartikeln, bei denen der Verkäufer die Option sofortige Bezahlung ausgewählt hat, nimmt der Käufer das Angebot an, indem er den Button Sofort-Kaufen anklickt und den unmittelbar nachfolgenden Zahlungsvorgang abschließt. Der Käufer kann Angebote für mehrere Artikel auch dadurch annehmen, dass er die Artikel in den Warenkorb (sofern verfügbar) legt und den unmittelbar nachfolgenden Zahlungsvorgang abschließt.

Bei Auktionen nimmt der Käufer das Angebot durch Abgabe eines Gebots an. Die Annahme erfolgt unter der aufschiebenden Bedingung, dass der Käufer nach Ablauf der Angebotsdauer Höchstbietender ist. Ein Gebot erlischt, wenn ein anderer Käufer während der Angebotsdauer ein höheres Gebot abgibt. (. )

Bei vorzeitiger Beendigung des Angebots durch den Verkäufer kommt zwischen diesem und dem Höchstbietenden ein Vertrag zustande, es sei denn der Verkäufer war dazu berechtigt, das Angebot zurückzunehmen und die vorliegenden Gebote zu streichen.

Käufer können Gebote nur zurücknehmen, wenn dazu ein berechtigter Grund vorliegt. Nach einer berechtigten Gebotsrücknahme kommt zwischen dem Nutzer, der nach Ablauf der Auktion aufgrund der Gebotsrücknahme wieder Höchstbietender ist und dem Verkäufer kein Vertrag zustande.

In bestimmten Kategorien kann der Verkäufer sein Angebot mit einer Preisvorschlag-Funktion versehen. Die Preisvorschlag-Funktion ermöglicht es Käufern und Verkäufern, den Preis für einen Artikel auszuhandeln. (. )

Wird ein Artikel vor Ablauf der Angebotsdauer von eBay gelöscht, kommt kein wirksamer Vertrag zwischen Käufer und Verkäufer zustande.

(4) Kauf über die Funktion Sofort-Kaufen oder Bieten Das Anklicken der auf den Artikelseiten enthaltenen Schaltflächen Sofort-Kaufen oder Bieten führt noch nicht zu verbindlichen Vertragserklärungen. Sie haben vielmehr auch danach die Möglichkeit, Ihre Eingaben zu prüfen und über den Zurück-Button des Internetbrowsers zu korrigieren oder den Kauf abzubrechen. Erst mit Abgabe der verbindlichen Vertragserklärung besteht diese Möglichkeit nicht mehr. Aus der Menüführung von eBay bei Durchführung eines Kaufes ergibt sich, durch welche Erklärung Sie eine Bindung eingehen und durch welche Handlung der Vertrag zustande kommt.

(5) Kauf über den Warenkorb (soweit angeboten) Durch Anklicken der auf den Artikelseiten enthaltenen Schaltfläche „In den Warenkorb“ werden die zum Kauf beabsichtigten Waren im „Warenkorb“ abgelegt. Im Anschluss wird Ihnen der „Warenkorb“ angezeigt. Ferner können Sie über die entsprechende Schaltfläche in der Navigationsleiste den „Warenkorb“ aufrufen und dort jederzeit Änderungen vornehmen. Nach Aufrufen der Seite „Weiter zur Kaufabwicklung“ und der Auswahl bzw. Eingabe von Lieferadresse und Zahlungsart werden abschließend nochmals alle Bestelldaten auf der Bestellübersichtsseite angezeigt. Soweit Sie als Zahlungsart „PayPal“ auswählen, werden Sie zunächst auf ein Log-In-Fenster von PayPal geführt. Nach erfolgreicher Anmeldung bei PayPal werden Sie auf die Bestellübersichtsseite bei eBay weitergeleitet. Vor Absenden der Bestellung haben Sie die Möglichkeit, hier sämtliche Angaben nochmals zu überprüfen, zu ändern (auch über die Funktion „zurück“ des Internetbrowsers) bzw. den Kauf abzubrechen. Mit Anklicken der Schaltfläche „Kaufen und zahlen“ erklären Sie rechtsverbindlich die Annahme des Angebotes, wodurch der Kaufvertrag zustande kommt.

(6) Kauf über die Funktion Preisvorschlag (soweit angeboten) Bei der Funktion Preisvorschlag haben Sie die Möglichkeit, uns ein Gegenangebot zu unterbreiten, indem Sie auf der Artikelseite die Schaltfläche Preisvorschlag senden anklicken, auf der folgenden Seite Ihren Preisvorschlag eintragen, die Schaltfläche Preisvorschlag überprüfen anwählen und auf der nachfolgenden Seite die Schaltfläche Preisvorschlag senden bestätigen (verbindliches Angebot). An diesen Preisvorschlag sind Sie 2 Tage gebunden. Der Vertrag kommt zustande, wenn wir Ihren Preisvorschlag annehmen.

(7) Die Abwicklung der Bestellung und Übermittlung aller im Zusammenhang mit dem Vertragsschluss erforderlichen Informationen erfolgt per E-Mail zum Teil automatisiert. Sie haben deshalb sicherzustellen, dass die von Ihnen bei uns hinterlegte E-Mail-Adresse zutreffend ist, der Empfang der E-Mails technisch sichergestellt und insbesondere nicht durch SPAM-Filter verhindert wird.

§ 3 Zurückbehaltungsrecht, Eigentumsvorbehalt

(1) Ein Zurückbehaltungsrecht können Sie nur ausüben, soweit es sich um Forderungen aus demselben Vertragsverhältnis handelt.

(2) Die Ware bleibt bis zur vollständigen Zahlung des Kaufpreises unser Eigentum.

(3) Sind Sie Unternehmer, gilt ergänzend folgendes:

a) Wir behalten uns das Eigentum an der Ware bis zum vollständigen Ausgleich aller Forderungen aus der laufenden Geschäftsbeziehung vor. Vor Übergang des Eigentums an der Vorbehaltsware ist eine Verpfändung oder Sicherheitsübereignung nicht zulässig.

b) Sie können die Ware im ordentlichen Geschäftsgang weiterverkaufen. Für diesen Fall treten Sie bereits jetzt alle Forderungen in Höhe des Rechnungsbetrages, die Ihnen aus dem Weiterverkauf erwachsen, an uns ab, wir nehmen die Abtretung an. Sie sind weiter zur Einziehung der Forderung ermächtigt. Soweit Sie Ihren Zahlungsverpflichtungen nicht ordnungsgemäß nachkommen, behalten wir uns allerdings vor, die Forderung selbst einzuziehen.

c) Bei Verbindung und Vermischung der Vorbehaltsware erwerben wir Miteigentum an der neuen Sache im Verhältnis des Rechnungswertes der Vorbehaltsware zu den anderen verarbeiteten Gegenständen zum Zeitpunkt der Verarbeitung.

d) Wir verpflichten uns, die uns zustehenden Sicherheiten auf Ihr Verlangen insoweit freizugeben, als der realisierbare Wert unserer Sicherheiten die zu sichernde Forderung um mehr als 10% übersteigt. Die Auswahl der freizugebenden Sicherheiten obliegt uns.

(1) Es bestehen die gesetzlichen Mängelhaftungsrechte.

(2) Bei gebrauchten Sachen beträgt die Gewährleistungsfrist abweichend von der gesetzlichen Regelung ein Jahr ab Ablieferung der Ware. Die einjährige Gewährleistungsfrist gilt nicht für uns zurechenbare schuldhaft verursachte Schäden aus der Verletzung des Lebens, des Körpers oder der Gesundheit und grob fahrlässig oder vorsätzlich verursachte Schäden bzw. Arglist des Anbieters, sowie bei Rückgriffsansprüchen gemäß §§ 478, 479 BGB.

(3) Soweit Sie Unternehmer sind, gilt abweichend von Abs.1:

a) Als Beschaffenheit der Ware gelten nur unsere eigenen Angaben und die Produktbeschreibung des Herstellers als vereinbart, nicht jedoch sonstige Werbung, öffentliche Anpreisungen und Äußerungen des Herstellers.

b) Sie sind verpflichtet, die Ware unverzüglich und mit der gebotenen Sorgfalt auf Qualitäts- und Mengenabweichungen zu untersuchen und uns offensichtliche Mängel binnen 7 Tagen ab Empfang der Ware in Textform (z.B. E-Mail) anzuzeigen, zur Fristwahrung reicht die rechtzeitige Absendung. Dies gilt auch für später festgestellte verdeckte Mängel ab Entdeckung. Bei Verletzung der Untersuchungs- und Rügepflicht ist die Geltendmachung der Gewährleistungsansprüche ausgeschlossen.

c) Bei Mängeln leisten wir nach unserer Wahl Gewähr durch Nachbesserung oder Ersatzlieferung. Schlägt die Mangelbeseitigung fehl, können Sie nach Ihrer Wahl Minderung verlangen oder vom Vertrag zurücktreten. Die Mängelbeseitigung gilt nach erfolglosem zweiten Versuch als fehlgeschlagen, wenn sich nicht insbesondere aus der Art der Sache oder des Mangels oder den sonstigen Umständen etwas anderes ergibt. Im Falle der Nachbesserung müssen wir nicht die erhöhten Kosten tragen, die durch die Verbringung der Ware an einen anderen Ort als den Erfüllungsort entstehen, sofern die Verbringung nicht dem bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch der Ware entspricht.

d) Die Gewährleistungsfrist beträgt ein Jahr ab Ablieferung der Ware. Die verkürzte Gewährleistungsfrist gilt nicht für uns zurechenbare schuldhaft verursachte Schäden aus der Verletzung des Lebens, des Körpers oder der Gesundheit und grob fahrlässig oder vorsätzlich verursachte Schäden bzw. Arglist, sowie bei Rückgriffsansprüchen gemäß §§ 478, 479 BGB.

(1) Wir haften jeweils uneingeschränkt für Schäden aus der Verletzung des Lebens, des Körpers oder der Gesundheit. Weiter haften wir ohne Einschränkung in allen Fällen des Vorsatzes und grober Fahrlässigkeit, bei arglistigem Verschweigen eines Mangels, bei Übernahme der Garantie für die Beschaffenheit des Kaufgegenstandes und in allen anderen gesetzlich geregelten Fällen.

(2) Die Haftung für Mängel im Rahmen der gesetzlichen Gewährleistung richtet sich nach der entsprechenden Regelung in unseren Kundeninformationen (Teil II) und Allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen (Teil I).

(3) Sofern wesentliche Vertragspflichten betroffen sind, ist unsere Haftung bei leichter Fahrlässigkeit auf den vertragstypischen, vorhersehbaren Schaden beschränkt. Wesentliche Vertragspflichten sind wesentliche Pflichten, die sich aus der Natur des Vertrages ergeben und deren Verletzung die Erreichung des Vertragszweckes gefährden würde sowie Pflichten, die der Vertrag uns nach seinem Inhalt zur Erreichung des Vertragszwecks auferlegt, deren Erfüllung die ordnungsgemäße Durchführung des Vertrags überhaupt erst möglich machen und auf deren Einhaltung Sie regelmäßig vertrauen dürfen.

(4) Bei der Verletzung unwesentlicher Vertragspflichten ist die Haftung bei leicht fahrlässigen Pflichtverletzungen ausgeschlossen.

(5) Die Datenkommunikation über das Internet kann nach dem derzeitigen Stand der Technik nicht fehlerfrei und/oder jederzeit verfügbar gewährleistet werden. Wir haften insoweit weder für die ständige noch ununterbrochene Verfügbarkeit der Webseite und der dort angebotenen Dienstleistung.

(1) Es gilt deutsches Recht. Bei Verbrauchern gilt diese Rechtswahl nur, soweit hierdurch der durch zwingende Bestimmungen des Rechts des Staates des gewöhnlichen Aufenthaltes des Verbrauchers gewährte Schutz nicht entzogen wird (Günstigkeitsprinzip).

The Worx Landroid WG798E is a robot lawn mower from Worx that is designed to cut lawns of up to 1500 square metres. I’d have to say I’m very impressed by this robot lawn mower and think it compares very well to comparable robot lawn mowers.

The Worx Landroid WG798E fits into the mid range of Worx robot lawn mower models. It contains a number of more advanced features including patented AIA artificial intelligencecutting technology.

Worx claim this leads to the WG798E cutting your lawn more efficiently and taking about 30% less time than a competing robot lawn mower. Design And Main Features

I really like the design of the Worx Landroid WG798E. It’s fairly unobtrusive and sleek looking, and is a lot less garish that some of Worx other robot lawn mower models. Although it won’t blend in with your garden, neither will it be an eyesore.

The Worx landroid WG798E will cut your lawn autonomously, automatically returning to the charging station when it’s power is low and then going back to work again until the job is done. It uses a lithium ion battery to provide the power. This is generally the standard battery technology of robot lawn mowers now, and I would strongly recommend avoiding models with old lead acid battery technology.

The Worx Landroid WG798E is entirely programmable, and will work to the schedule that you set. This is generally easy and quick to do. As mentioned previously, you can adjust the settings of the Worx Landroid WG798E via an App on your smartphone or tablet.

You should note that robot lawn mowers generally cut your lawn much more frequently than a conventional lawnmower. It is recommended to let a robot lawn mower cut your lawn almost every day. This keeps your lawn looking freshly cut all the time, which is one of the significant advantages of getting a robot lawn mower. It also allows the mulched clippings to fall into the grass, rather than clumping on top of your lawn.

Another handy feature on the Worx Landroid WG798E is that it has a rain sensor. This will let it detect rain and return to its charging station. Although robot lawn mowers will generally cut your lawn perfectly well in wet weather, there are a few drawbacks of letting them do this.

There is an increased risk of the wheels losing traction, which may impair performance. Additionally, grass clippings will be much more prone to accumulating on the underside of the mower and around the wheels. The rain sensor can be toggled on or off in the settings menu. Personally, as I live in quite a wet climate, I am happy to let the Worx Landroid WG798E work away regardless of the weather.

Installation

Installation of the Worx Landroid WG798E is really fairly simple. The supplied manual does a great job of explaining what to do in a clear and concise way. The manual also has a number of diagrams which very clearly explain how to install the boundary wire to avoid any problems.

The first step of the installation is to place the charging station. This is the dock that the robot lawn mower will return to, to charge. It will spend quite some time here, as it will aslo stay here in between scheduled cutting times. For this reason, you should think about whether you would prefer it to be located somewhere you will see it all the time, or if it is better in a secluded area of your lawn.

You must choose a location that is close to a power source. Ideally, you should have an external power socket, to plug the power supply into. Once you have chosen the spot for your charging station, it is easy to secure it to the grass with a number of screws which are supplied in the box.

The next step is to install a perimeter wire around the edge of the law. The ends of this connect to the charging station and will form the boundary that the Worx Landroid WG798E will not cross. The manual explains how to install the perimeter wire really clearly, so you shouldn’t have any difficulty pegging the wire down and can be done fairly quickly.

Once this is complete, the Worx Landroid WG798E needs a quick test on first start up and then you are ready to go. The entire installation process should take no longer than 1-2 hours, depending on the size and complexity of your lawn. Follow the supplied instructions and you should have no difficulty.

Operation

Operation of the Worx Landroid WG798E is really easy once you have the set-up completed. It comes pre-programmed, and all you need to do is set it on your grass and press start and it will begin to cut your lawn. As mentioned previously, you can adjust a number of settings through the control panel on the top of the robot lawn mower. Features such as cutting height and cutting schedule can be adjusted within seconds.

The worx landroid app that is available for smartphone and tablet is very easy to use. This allows you to change a number of settings such as the scheduling of the mower.

I found that after the first few days of operation, I really didn’t need to adjust the settings very often. Occasionally, I would decide that I wanted my lawn height slightly higher or slightly lower and this was easy to adjust. I experimented with scheduling the mower to work more and frequently to see what impact this would have on the look of the lawn. My lawn is slightly smaller than the maximum size for the Worx Landroid WG798E. As a result, my lawn appeared to be very neatly cut when it was scheduled to cut my lawn 3 days per week.

Mowing Features

The Worx Landroid WG798E cuts your grass using a number of very small razor blades that are screwed onto a rotating disc. These blades cut the grass into very fine pieces, mulching them and then returning them to your lawn. I found that these were generally not visible on the lawn after the robot lawn mower had been working. The only time when clumps of cuttings were visible was when I scheduled the lawnmower to cut too infrequently.

I did notice that whenever the robot lawn mower cut the grass in wet weather, the clippings were more prone to stick together and this would sometimes lead to some visible clippings on the grass, but nothing that was particularly noticeable. The Worx Landroid WG798E has a built in rain sensor which can be turned off or on. If you notice grass clippings gathering on your lawn on wet days, this may be a reason to turn the rain sensor on.

The Worx Landroid WG798E cuts your grass in a random pattern. However, it does use some artificial intelligence, which Worx have patented as AIA. This helps the robot lawn mower to route through narrow passages and cut the lawn in a more efficient manner than if it used a completely random pattern. I think the quality of the cut was very good, and comparable to other robot lawn mowers that use similar cutting techniques.

Limitations Of Mowing Features

There are two main limitations of the mowing features of the Worx Landroid WG798E. Firstly, it doesn’t cut the edges of your lawn very well. This is a common problem with robot lawn mowers, and the Worx Landroid WG798E doesn’t do significantly better or worse than the competition. Unless you are happy with the edges of your grass being quite long and untidy, you will generally have to trim the edges of your grass every two to four weeks to keep things looking neat.

The second limitation is also a limitation of robot lawn mowers generally. The Worx Landroid WG798E works very slowly and takes many hours to fully cut my entire lawn. For me, this isn’t a problem because the robot lawn mower is quiet and unobtrusive and I’m more than happy for it to get on with the work. However, if you’re somebody who is out of the garden an awful lot, particularly if you have small children, you may see it as a drawback that the robot lawnmower will be spending a lot of time maintaining your lawn.

Power And Charging

Charging of the Worx Landroid WG798E was done completely automatically. I didn’t need to lift the robot lawn mower to put it in it’s charging station ever. It always seem to find it’s way back to its charging station when it was running low on power. The battery charging time is a bit longer than comparable models from other manufacturers. However, the charging and cutting time didn’t seem to be particularly relevant, as it just alternated between charging and working without any fuss. My main hope was that it would cut the grass autonomously and it did this very well.

Great Looking Lawn

My lawn looks much better than when I used to use a conventional lawn mower to cut my grass. I think this is down to two main factors. Firstly, the Worx Landroid WG798E is designed to cut your grass very frequently, so it always looks freshly mowed. To achieve this look with a conventional lawnmower, you would have to cut your grass at least three times per week, which is completely impractical for most people.

Secondly, the Worx Landroid WG798E mulches the grass clippings. The clippings then release their nutrients into the soil over time, helping the growing grass to be greener and more vibrant. It is not practical to mulch clippings with a conventional lawn mower if you want your lawn to look neat.

Most most people cut their grass every 1-2 weeks, and the large volume of clippings this produces would gather in piles on the grass, making it look untidy. Removing the clippings keeps the grass looking neat, but it removes essential nutrients from the grass, so your grass will get less green and vibrant over time.

I have definitely noticed that my grass requires significantly less artificial fertiliser, and generally looks more green and vibrant than it did when I was using a conventional lawnmower. For this reason, the Worx Landroid WG798E has been a great success in my garden.

Movement And Navigation System

I haven’t had any problems with the navigation system of my Worx Landroid WG798E since it has been in operation. The perimeter wire seems to do a very good job of keeping the mower in its defined area. Having used a number of other robot lawn mowers, I possibly notice a slight improvement in the cutting time and efficiency of the Worx Landroid WG798E, but I think this is quite subtle.

Safety Features

The safety features of the Worx Landroid WG798E are excellent and very much in line with other robot lawn mowers. It has lift and tilt sensors to ensure that the blades stop if the robot lawn mower is disturbed in any way, or if somebody tries to turn it over. The blades are well concealed underneath the robot lawn mower, and it would not be possible to reach under it while it is in operation, without tilting it and causing the blades to stop.

The blades are also very small and the motor does not have an awful lot of power. Certainly, any injury that you would receive from coming into contact with the blades of the Worx Landroid WG798E would be quite minor compared to the injury that could be received from a conventional lawn mower.

Due to the type of cutting technology, I would rate the safety features of the Worx Landroid WG798E as being better than models from Robomow, Ambrogio and John Deere. The safety features are very similar to models from Husqvarna, McCulloch, Flymo and Gardena.

Security Features

The Worx Landroid WG798E has PIN code and alarm security features. This means that the robotic lawn mower can only be operated by somebody who knows the PIN code. If it were lifted or stolen by somebody who subsequently tried to use the robot lawn mower, they would be unable to get it to function.

In addition, an alarm can be set so that if the robot lawn mower is lifted unexpectedly, an alarm will sound. To prevent the alarm from sounding, you must enter the PIN code within a certain amount of time. Whilst the security features of the Worx Landroid WG798E are not as comprehensive as some more premium robot lawn mowers, I feel that this model provides a good balance between features and price.

Smart Features

The Worx Landroid WG798E has built in Wi-Fi and a Smart app which can be used on smartphones and tablets. The app is easy to use and allows you to adjust a number of functions. One drawback of integrated Wi-Fi, is that it will not work if the Worx Landroid WG798E is out of range of your home Wi-Fi network.

As Wi-Fi has a fairly limited range, it is entirely possible that your robot lawn mower will stray outside of Wi-Fi range in parts of your garden. Whilst this is a minor inconvenience, as long as you have the charging station within the range of your Wi-Fi, you should be able to adjust the settings most of the time.

Conclusion

Overall, I’ve been very impressed with the Worx Landroid WG798E robot lawn mower. I feel it is the best value robot lawn mower for people with a lawn of between 1000 m² and 1500 m². It has done a great job on my lawn and the few negatives are mainly the same negatives that come with all robot lawn mowers.

The main competitors for lawns of this size, the Robomow RC 308u and Husqvarna 315 are both great models. However, they are both significantly more expensive, and I don’t think the extra cost is justified when you look at their feature set and performance compared to the Worx Landroid WG798E. Running the wire wasn’t horrible but not a lot of fun, but now that it’s all set up, I’m amazed every day. How it gets everything the way it pinballs around. I don’t know, but it does. I bought mine when it came with the ACS, and it’s great too. It really goes around my planters. I was skeptical because my yard is so small and complex, but this thing does the job and it’s so awesome to not have to mow the yard anymore. I thought I would miss it, but I don’t. It takes me about 5 minutes to trim up the edges, and it looks perfect all the time. No more clippings to deal with. Even after a month, I still go out and watch it do its thing for about 30 minutes every evening. Love it.

My ever-increasing maladies have allowed me to cut the lawn in short bursts ONLY, before having to rest again and again. This Autonomous device has relieved me of the arduous task of cutting my own lawn. The yard is beautiful all the time now. It looks manicured all the time now. It’s also fun to play with the technology of a robotic lawnmower. I would also advise anyone to NOT do like me. Initially I scoffed at the directions for laying the perimeter wire. This meant having to go back and be more precise on my measurements afterwards. So, my advice: stick to the directions. I’m very pleased with the lawnmower and would highly recommend WORX as your preferred supplier when considering an Autonomous Lawn Mower.

There are only a couple of downsides but they are minor: the weight distribution should be a little heaver towards the rear of the Landroid so that it turns easier and with more traction when over soil or wet grass. The other thing is grass clippings tend to accumulate between the blades and the blade disc due to a small gap. Installing third-party blades and bolts fixed that issue. It mows on auto schedule where you can define when not to mow (such as during irrigation). Now I can spend more time weeding, fertilizing and treating my lawn. Highly recommend this product. The grass is mowed evenly and always looks freshly cut. The only thing you have left to do is edging since this won’t get to every edge of the lawn. It was definitely a great purchase and battery can be easily replaced.

It’s got additional configurable settings to it, but that’s the general gist of it.

Collision sensor Not to confuse with the Anti Collision System (ACS) sensor you can buy for extra cost, the collision sensor is basically just a bump sensor. When it hits something, it will turn and mow in a different direction rather than pushing forward.

Rain sensor If enabled, when the robot mower detects rain, it will return to the charging station. Once there’s less humidity in the air, the mower will automatically start a “rain delay” countdown. This rain delay countdown is configurable.

4) Charging System

The recharging and mowing cycle is automatic. That means it will go out to mow the lawn and returns to recharge when it gets low on battery, after which it goes back out to mow again as per the schedule.

3 pivoting razor-like blades There are 2 blades types robot mowers tend to have. One is a solid blade and the other a rotating disc with usually 3 pivoting razor-like blades attached to it.

Worx WR142E M700 Landroid Robotic Lawnmower uses the second type, the small pivoting blades. These are quieter, safer, and more energy efficient when compared to the solid blade. The rotating disc will sometimes start turning in the other direction so as to lengthen the lifespan of the blades. At least that’s what I read, I haven’t checked so close down there myself. ^^ As for the negatives, the pivoting razor-like blades attached to a rotating disc are a little less efficient at cutting things when compared to the solid blade.

Collision, tilt, lift sensors While the collision sensor’s main function is to aid navigating the lawn, it’s also a safety feature. Instead of the robot mower just pushing forward with the intent to tear down absolutely everything in its path, it will instead bump into it, realize there’s an obstacle, turn, and start mowing in a different direction. Tilt and lift sensors will bring the blades to a complete stop if the mower is tilted or lifted.

7) Security Features

Lock function The lock function does what it sounds like: locks up the robot mower until the correct PIN is entered. It becomes locked when you press the STOP button while it’s working, for example, or when it gets stuck or whatnot and stops working on its own, and so. It gets locked when lifted, but also when it loses the Wi-Fi signal for 3 days. It can be locked or unlocked via the app as well.

Pin code The default PIN code for this Worx WR142E M700 is “AAAA” on the keypad. This can be changed in the settings. Do note however that when you forget the PIN, you’re kind of screwed (read this: “In order to make Landroid as secure as possible, there is no reset procedure for the PIN that can be operated by anyone, including Landroid authorized service centers.”). When looking at the options available, similarly to other Worx robot mowers, the WR142E M700 is also a very decent one, assuming your lawn wasn’t bigger than 700 m² (or 0.17 ac.) and its features price were right for you. The seller is trustworthy and has a warranty in place.

It might not be for you if your garden layout was simply just way too complex or the slopes steeper than 35% (or 20°) and you wanted cut height to be less than 30 mm (1.18″) or more than 60 mm (2.36″). Otherwise I don’t really see a reason against going with this one.

Worx gives you control in what features you want the mower to have while making sure all the essential is there by default. So it’s not like you’re forced to accept the upsell of the extra features, rather they truly are just supplementary as per your needs solving a problem.

Take for example the GPS Tracking module – in Finland, the chances of somebody actually stealing one is super low, so it’d be a worthless extra cost feature. Or the Radio Link Module, perhaps somebody didn’t have the option to buy a router with strong enough Wi-Fi signal, etc.

I’d like to say that it’s simple, which it actually is, but instead the initial installation can be time consuming (talking hours). The instructions manual should go over the installation process. If it doesn’t come with the package, you can always find it online with simple Google search.

The installation is fairly simple and all the information is provided in the installations instructions. The main thing is to do with the planning and executing of the installation of perimeter wire around the cutting area. This will take some time (many hours). But trust me, it’ll be worth it once it’s all set and done. This little helper does the more mundane work for you while also keeping the lawn fairly healthy. The low yet fairly constant sound level keeps away moles, too, and makes kids learn to put away their toys rather than leave them wherever. What’s not to like?

Another thing is the charging station. Setting this up is fairly straight forward (check with installation guide), but I’d like to point out a few key things still. They’re mainly to do with the charging station placement requirements:

• It must be close to a wall socket;
• preferably under shade cover;
• install on a relatively flat surface outdoors;
• install it somewhere out of sight from bypassers;
• leave at least 80 cm of free space in front of the charging station;
• lay at least 30 cm of perimeter wire straight out to the opposite side if it follows by a left turn. If the turn following the 30 cm exit path follows a right turn, there’s no need to leave at least 30 cm of straight perimeter wire.
